The Ox Cocoa Joins Banff’s Hot Chocolate Trail

Banff’s most delicious winter tradition has returned, and The Fat Ox of Banff is thrilled to be part of the 2025–26 Hot Chocolate Trail. From November 13th through February 8th, you can sip your way through town with dozens of creative, festive hot chocolates – and ours is proudly on the map.

Introducing The Ox Cocoa, our signature alpine-inspired hot chocolate crafted especially for the trail. Rich, velvety, and topped with a touch of Fat Ox indulgence, it’s the perfect warm-up after a day on the slopes or an afternoon wandering the Christmas markets.  Made with hot chocolate, whipped cream, Hersey’s cocoa powder, torched, cinnamon.  Price $6 | Upgrade $4 with Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur for adults only!

This year’s trail winds through Banff and Lake Louise with stops at cafés, bakeries, bars, and restaurants – each offering their own unique take on the ultimate winter comfort drink. Visitors can explore the entire trail, try featured creations, and stamp their way toward holiday cheer.
